Q&A
What inspired you to join our team, and what has been your journey so far?
When I came in for the interview I was pleasantly surprised to find engineers at every level of management at F&T. The people in leadership roles all have a foundation in engineering, and in many cases engineering work still makes up a big part of their job.
What are some of the most rewarding aspects of your job?
I find being a part of the development and success of the younger engineers on my team to be the most rewarding part. This year there has been a company push to get engineers licensed (FE and PE). I enjoy seeing these successes because I know how much those milestones meant to me.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? (hiking, biking, reading, cooking, sports, volunteer work, etc.)
Outside of work I spend as much time as I can outside, and in the past year I’ve spent much of my free time fixing up a 30 year old Toyota which sat for many years. It now runs and drives and I’ve put over 2000 miles on it this summer.
