Boston College O'Neill Library

F&T completed construction administration services to complete the HVAC Upgrade project at Boston College’s O’Neill Library. The project reconfigured piping within the mechanical room to offer redundancy of hot water heating throughout the building. A steam to glycol heat exchanger was installed to offer pre-heat to an Air Handling Unit to increase efficiency and offer increased comfort to library occupants. A total of six (6) Variable Frequency Drives on hot water and chilled water pumps were also upgraded and had wiring rerouted overhead instead of below the concrete slab to offer future flexibility in mechanical room equipment layouts.
