Arnold Arboretum, Dana Greenhouse- Boston, MA

F&T was originally engaged by the Arnold Arboretum to review the water service and distribution for the Dana Greenhouse in the Arnold Arboretum. The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University houses over 16,000 types of plant and the Dana Greenhouse is used to propagate up to 2,000 different plants. Irrigation systems at the Dana Greenhouse upgrades were designed and F&T sized the new water service. The alterations increase water pressure by removing redundant backflow preventers, and ensure the greenhouse is code-compliant to current standards. It is easy for a building to see multiple renovations and system additions over decades of renovation and F&T was excited to help the Arnold Arboretum ensure the best possible facility conditions for use.
