F&T 2022 Q1 Promotions

We're happy to share the promotions of four F&T employees! We're looking forward to seeing where their new roles take them. Please join us in congratulating the team as they take on these new positions!


Ariana Surabian, Promoted to Marketing & Business Development Manager

As Marketing & Business Development Manager, Ariana now manages the business development activities for the Client Services group and oversees the marketing for F&T. Ari joined us in 2015 and has served in the roles of Administrative Assistant, Marketing Assistant, Marketing Coordinator, and most recently in the position of Marketing Manager. Ariana has an associate degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University and is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). In her position, Ariana facilitates and coordinates the marketing and business development vision of the firm. Her goal is to achieve the project sales for the firm’s strategic growth and is driven to provide support for an exceptional client experience to all staff.


Derek Day, Promoted to Mechanical Project Engineer III

Derek has 7 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He began at F&T in 2021 as a Mechanical Project Engineer II and has been an exceptional member of the HVAC team, showing continuous respect, resourcefulness, and reliability. Derek is responsible for engineering a wide variety of technical systems, close coordination with other project professionals, and creation of construction documents and specifications.


Julie Dam, Promoted to Electrical Design Engineer I

Julie graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with her bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, Julie began as an Electrical Designer. As both a student and employee, Julie has an extraordinarily strong work ethic with a passion to help others. Since starting in 2021, Julie has demonstrated her knowledge and experience in electrical design, Revit, and quickly became a key member of the electrical department.


Nathaniel Fanning, CEM, Promoted to Energy & Infrastructure Service Leader

As Energy and Infrastructure Service Leader, Nate brings over 15 years of experience in construction, building systems, and the energy field to the team and is a Certified Energy Manager. His mission is to identify, cultivate, and implement projects and programs to improve our clients’ building infrastructure while reducing and controlling energy consumption and costs. Included in this mission is his management of our new construction commissioning, existing building commissioning, and energy-related services. Nate is adept at identifying and prioritizing the needs of our clients while managing the entire project cycle to bring projects to successful completion. His goal is to successfully leave the owner and building managers with an efficiently operating building that meets all required design criteria and provides a high level of energy efficiency and physical comfort to all its occupants and staff.
