Abdullah presents at NHSHFM Educational Program| April 24, 2019
F&T Project Manager and Associate Abdullah Khaliqi, PE, CPQ was invited to present on MEP Energy Assessments and Commissioning at the New Hampshire Society of Healthcare Facility Managers (NHSHFM) April Educational Program. The presentation touched on the benefits resulting from an integrated approach to retro-commissioning, including the inherent benefit of energy savings as well as improving resiliency along the way.
Commissioning is an important project aspect that ensures systems work as intended. The process is important in new construction and major renovations, but retro-commissioning of existing systems is just as important over the life of facilities that have multiple renovations over time. Equipment alterations are a natural part of any renovation project but ensuring that the overall system continues to function properly with a new configuration is critical to successful and efficient facility operations.
