F&T Women in Engineering Group hosts volunteering lunch

| December 13, 2018

The  Women in Engineering group at Fitzemeyer & Tocci was started two years ago to bring together the women of the office to empower each other, learn, teach, and have fun. Despite the industry having only 13% females, F&T is proud that our female population is now 20%.  Whether our meeting is a simple lunch and discussion, or attending the Women@Wentworth brunch, or hosting a volunteer opportunity; our group continues to take the time to hear concerns, celebrate accomplishments, work through issues, and support each other.

At our last meeting, Shannon Larkin, Plumbing Engineer here at F&T, shared a blog she wrote about being a women in the engineering industry and what led her there. Check out the blog here!

For the second half of our meeting, we invited the whole company to attend a volunteering lunch where we teamed up with Building Impact to make gratitude journals. These journals will be given to foster children throughout Massachusetts  between the ages of 7 and 21.
