The Derryfield School “Topping-Off” Ceremony

| January 17, 2019

On Monday, F&T attended the Derryfield School building’s topping off ceremony for the Athletic & Wellness Center building. The ceremony marks a major milestone as the last beam is painted white and the workers involved in the construction sign it before it is placed, with a flag and a tree on opposite ends of the beam. This tradition celebrates the construction process and honors the accomplishments of the construction crew, designers, and owners.

More about the project:

Fitzemeyer & Tocci is providing full MEP/FP engineering services for the design and construction administration of this brand new 40,000 SF Athletic and Wellness Center.  The new building consists of a large gymnasium with three basketball courts and seating, a cardio room, a weight room, locker rooms and accompanying offices and support spaces.  The building connects to adjacent athletic fields to create a complete Athletic & Wellness complex.  Our team worked closely with the Cowan & Goudreau Architects and Eckman Construction to provide full mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection for the new building and site. The New Center is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2019.
