Stonehill College’s Thomas and Donna May School of Arts & Sciences—formerly known as the Academic & Welcome Center—is a state-of-the-art, 35,000 square-foot facility designed to foster academic excellence and community engagement. Strategically located in the heart of campus on the site of the former Student Union, this modern building serves as a dynamic hub for students, faculty, and visitors alike.
The building features a wide array of amenities, including a 375-seat auditorium, a 60-seat presentation room, technology-enhanced classrooms, tiered admissions space, collaborative meeting rooms, administrative and faculty offices, a campus bookstore, and an Au Bon Pain café. Each space has been thoughtfully designed to support student learning, engagement, and success.
Fitzemeyer & Tocci provided comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering design services for this landmark project. Our team worked closely with project stakeholders to deliver highly efficient, sustainable systems that support the center’s modern functionality and welcoming atmosphere.
This building not only represents a significant upgrade in academic facilities but also stands as a central point of connection for the Stonehill community.
