Fitzemeyer & Tocci provided MEP engineering services to upgrade the emergency power infrastructure at the Dr. John C. Page School. The existing generator had exceeded its lifespan and could no longer meet the school's critical backup power needs. To restore reliability, F&T designed and facilitated the installation of a new generator and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) system.
As part of the project, F&T also enhanced overall power reliability by reviewing and optimizing circuit breaker trip settings. By fine-tuning the Instantaneous and Long-Time Trip settings, we eliminated nuisance tripping and ensured seamless coordination with the school’s previous circuit breaker study.
With these upgrades, Page School now benefits from a modern, dependable emergency power system, ensuring continuous operation and safety during outages.
